UNAA is pleased to announce Busie Matsiko -Andan as the keynote guest speaker for the Women Empowerment forum.
Ms. Busie is an award-winning global strategist who has been instrumental in successfully scaling and growing companies and organizations (industry agnostic). She is the Executive Director of The Africa Future Summit, founder of Pont Global, a management consultancy firm.
Early in her career, Ms.Busie held positions at Smith Barney, Oppenheimer & Co., and Citibank; known for her serial entrepreneurship and founder of one of the first fashion e-commerce businesses, Fashion Indie, which was acquired twice.
She is a member of the Board Trustees at Berkeley College, has been recognized as one of the most influential people of African descent by the Most Influential People of African Descent (MIPAD).
She advises multilaterals like the African Union, Afreximbank, the Africa Renaissance and Diaspora Network, Lalela Project and the Heritage and Cultural Society of Africa on private sector scaling and development.
Ms.Busie is the creator of RESET, a platform for thought leaders to discuss business strategies during the COVID-19 pandemic. Her initiatives have been featured in Businessweek, Forbes, Fortune, the New York Post, the New York Daily News, Women’s Wear Daily, and other national and international publications.
Ms. Busie has been a UNAA Member and volunteer for the last 20 plus years, she is married with three daughters and lives in Long Island, NewYork.
