A few days before the Inter-Club competitions’ group stage began, CAF eased its COVID-19 limitations on the participating clubs.
Due to COVID-19, CAF has prohibited teams from allowing more than a certain number of spectators to attend home games starting in 2020.
Clubs will then need to visit the governing body of football to get clearance for the amount of fans, although the CAF update indicates that this has altered.
The CAF informed all of the participating clubs, including Rivers United of Nigeria, in a letter on Monday that they did not need to request authorisation once more.
