Dear UNAA Family and Friends,
With great joy we announce our partnership with Makerere University as they celebrate their 100 year anniversary, and we call upon Makerere alumni’s near and far to join us at the 34th annual Convention to celebrate this remarkable and historic occasion.
UNAA is also pleased to welcome Arch. Prof. Barnabas Nawangwe, The Vice-Chancellor of Makerere University as a guest speaker.
Arch. Prof. Barnabas Nawangwe is a Ugandan academic, architect and public administrator.
He became the Vice-Chancellor of Makerere University in 2017 having previously served as the Deputy Vice-Chancellor in charge of finance and administration from September 2013 to August 2017.
Prof. Nawangwe was the Head of the Department of Architecture from its inception in 1987 to 2002, he further served as the Dean of the Faculty of Technology from 2002 to 2010 and later as the Principal of the College of Engineering, Design, Art and Technology from 2011 to 2013.
He also serves as the Chairman of the Board of the African Research Universities Alliance (ARUA) and Member of the Council of the Association of Commonwealth Universities.
UNAA is honored to have this collaboration with Makerere University as we leverage the best of us while building a transformed society.
