Chelsea goalkeeper Édouard Mendy kept his 20th Premier League clean sheet in the 1-0 away win against Brentford.

Mendy who joined Chelsea from Rennes in January achieved the feat in his 38th starts for the Blues.

Only Petr Cech (26), Pepe Reina (32), Alisson (36) and Roy Carroll (37) have needed fewer starts to reach 20 shut outs in the competition’s history.

Mendy who is the reigning UEFA goalkeeper of the season made significant saves to ensure Chelsea run home with the three points at the Brentford Community Stadium.

The victory means Chelsea are the first side from the capital to win seven consecutive away London derbies in English Football League history.
