Leaders Manchester City made it nine consecutive Premier League victories as they beat Leicester City 6-3 in a Boxing Day classic.

Kevin De Bruyne put City in front on five minutes with a low left-footed finish and it was 2-0 nine minutes later as Youri Tielemans fouled Aymeric Laporte and Riyad Mahrez converted the penalty.

Ilkay Gundogan tapped in a third for City and Raheem Sterling made it 4-0 from the spot in the 25th minute, with Tielemans again committing the foul.

Three goals in 11 second-half minutes by James Maddison, Ademola Lookman and Kelechi Iheanacho gave Leicester hope of a remarkable comeback.

But Laporte headed in from Mahrez’s corner on 69 minutes and Sterling scored his second with three minutes remaining to wrap up the scoring.

City move six points clear of Liverpool and third-placed Chelsea. Leicester drop to 10th on 22 points.
