Many areas in Bulambuli district (Eastern Uganda) have registered heavy rajns and experienced heavy flooding.
The affected areas include Bumufuni Sub-County, Bumwangu parish, Bubulo village.
Our volunteers on ground have responded with immediate life saving support to the affected people such as elderly, children, to move out of flooded areas.
Some of the response team members are trying to replace embankments on river manafwa to prevent water from further spreading into people’s houses.
6 children were injured yesterday and referred to Bunambutye resettlement health centre III.
The response team is conducting assessments together with the district leadership to extend meaningful support to the displaced families.
According to information from the Uganda Meteorological Authority, April will recieve more rainfall compared to March & May.
