Cristiano Ronaldo is set to become the world’s highest paid athlete at Saudi Arabian club Al-Nassr.
This is according to Spanish newspaper Marca, who are reporting that Ronaldo will sign for the club after the 2022 World Cup.
Ronaldo, one of the greatest footballers of all time, is poised to sign a two-and-a-half-year contract with the Riyadh-based outfit.
The news will come as a huge surprise to many football fans all over the world.
Ronaldo was expected to continue his career in Europe after leaving Manchester United last month.
But it seems that he will instead become the world’s highest paid footballer – and, indeed, athlete – in the world.

How much will Cristiano Ronaldo earn at Al-Nassr?
The five-time Ballon d’Or winner, who turns 38 in February, will be earning far more than Paris Saint-Germain duo Lionel Messi and Neymar, who currently earn €75 million and €70 million, respectively, according to the same report.
Ronaldo’s deal with Al-Nassr will reportedly be worth an astronomical €200 million per season.
Mind blowing figures.
