The body of fallen former Security Minister and Army Commander Gen Elly Tumwiine has been brought back in the country from Kenya. The body touched down at Entebbe International Airport on Friday evening and was received by senior army officials. Gen Tumwiine succumbed to lung cancer on Wednesday morning in Nairobi where he had been hospitalized
He died at 5:46 am from lung cancer, according to President Museveni. The National Resistance Army (NRA) historical has been away from the public eye ever since he was dropped from Cabinet in June 2021.
