Guided by the Grace, I happily retire from Makerere University– Ms. Faith Lillian Kasule at 60

Makerere, University. Known by  slogan,  “By the Grace,”  Ms. Faith Lillian Kasule has worked with Makerere University since October 1994 serving in different capacities with competence, expertise and her legacy will live on for generations.

Ms Faith Lillian Kasule who is now 60 years old has reached the mandatory retirement age, and as such, she will be leaving the university service.

Ms. Faith L. Kasule is hailed for her  selfless service and devotion to Makerere University. This is coupled with being trustworthy, hardworkingGod fearing, humble and kind.

Colleagues commended her for being lovely entirely, treating everyone with so much love, respect and humility throughout her tenure at Makerere University.

Brief of Faith Lillian Kasule services at Makerere.

She joined Makerere University in October 1994 as Assistant Registrar, rose to  Senior Assistant Registrar up to Principal Registrar, a position she has held up to the date when she is retiring.

Ms. Faith Lillian Kasule has served in several units at Makerere University namely

Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, Faculty of Science, Certificates Office in the Department of the Academic Registrar, Margaret Trowel School of Industrial and Fine Art, College of Engineering,Design,Art and Technology, School of Law, School of Medicine and the Schoolof Women and Gender Studies.Ms. Faith Lillian Kasule former Registrar at Makerere University School of Women and Gender Studies gives her remarks during her 6oth Birthday cerebrations. In her address, Ms Faith Lillian Kasule thanked everyone who turned up for her 6oth birthday that signified a special moment to bid farewell to colleagues and friends at Makerere University as well as the beginning of retirement, a phase that she has prepared for.

This prayerful lady dedicated Psalms 41:2 to everyone who had gathered at Makerere University School of Women and Gender Studies Conference Hall on Monday 22nd August 2022 to celebrate her birthday.

“The Lord protects and preserves them— they are counted among the blessed in the land— He does not give them over to the desire of their foes.”

She testified that towards this day,  the Almighty God  revealed to her the above scriptures to guide her in her next journey of retirement.

Faith implored fellows who are clocking retirement age to treasure their time at work wholeheartedly, pray and lay a foundation for them to save and invest in real items.

She made these remarks referring to a situation where someone is likely to face a rough time during retirement and  may not be strong to provide all needs and end up in a life of lamenting.Charles Ssentongo, the Deputy Registrar (Undergraduate Admissions) at Faith at 60 Birthday. Representing the Academic Registrar, Mr. Charles Ssentongo the Deputy Registrar (Undergraduate Admissions) hailed Faith for being hard working, social, honest, down to earth and above all, a God fearing person.

“It has been marvelous working with Faith. Indeed the grace of God has surely worked through Faith until her 60th birthday,” he said.

Mr. Ssentongo implored all staff who are approaching the retirement age to have prior plans in order to enjoy the time away from service.

Dr. Consolata Kabonesa  at the School of Women and Gender Studies of  Makerere University emphasized that Faith has been faithful, religious and  hard working.

“For all the goodness that I received from Ms. Faith Lillian Kasule, I chose to call her Aunt. She listened and was always ready to help the young and junior staff to juggle through this complex work place. She is indeed a blessing,” she remarked.
