The Russian Federation has declared ten representatives of the Romanian Embassy in Moscow persona non-grata, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced, stating that this is a reaction to a similar decision taken by Romania against ten employees of the Russian Federation Embassy in Bucharest on April 5.
The Romanian Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) recalled that the decision of the Romanian authorities was based on the activities and actions of the ten Russians, who contravened the provisions of the Vienna Convention on Diplomatic Relations from 1961, Profit.ro reported.
The MFA reiterated its strong condemnation of the Russian Federation’s illegal, unjustified and unprovoked aggression against Ukraine and of war crimes and other international crimes committed in that country by Russian forces.
