Saudi Arabia’s Royal Court has announced that Eid al-Fitr will begin on Sunday, 30 March 2025, according to Al-Arabiya.
Earlier, the broadcaster reported that the crescent moon was sighted on Saturday at the Sudair and Tamir observatories.
Sighting committees across the kingdom began monitoring the moon’s appearance at sunset to determine the start of the holiday.
The decision came after the crescent moon of Shawwal was sighted in several locations across the Kingdom, marking the end of Ramadan and the beginning of the Islamic month of Shawwal.
Eid Al Fitr will be observed across Saudi Arabia with special prayers on Sunday morning, followed by festive celebrations with family and community.
