He took over on May 13, according to a May 14 statement released by the standards agency. Before joining UNBS, Eng. Kasigwa was the director of Science, Technology, Innovation Regulation & Biosafety at the Ministry of Science Technology & Innovation.

An electrical engineer by profession, his illustrious career that spans over two decades saw him work with multinational corporations, private and public sectors while in leadership and strategic management of expert teams.
