His Excellency Mohammed Bin Khalil Faloudah, the recently appointed Ambassador of the Royal Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to Uganda, has formally presented his credentials to the state minister for Foreign Affairs, John Mulimba.
During this occasion, Minister Mulimba extended a warm welcome to Ambassador Faloudah, highlighting the positive relations between Uganda and Saudi Arabia.
He emphasized the longstanding friendship between the two nations, noting Saudi Arabia’s considerable support for educational initiatives in Uganda, particularly through projects like the Islamic University of Uganda.
Mulimba also praised the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia for its increased assistance to Ugandan pilgrims, enabling many to fulfill their religious obligations with visits to revered holy sites.
Expressing gratitude for the hospitality shown to him, Ambassador Faloudah reaffirmed his dedication to strengthening the bilateral ties between Saudi Arabia and Uganda.
He expressed his intention to explore opportunities for enhancing cooperation across various sectors for the mutual benefit of both countries.
Ambassador Faloudah revealed his plans to facilitate a state visit by the President of Uganda to Saudi Arabia, highlighting the significance of high-level engagements in solidifying diplomatic relations.
In response, Minister Mulimba conveyed Uganda’s eagerness to deepen its engagement with Saudi Arabia and encouraged Ambassador Faloudah to explore Uganda’s diverse landscapes and cultures during his tenure.
Ambassador Faloudah appreciated the Minister’s sentiments and pledged to undertake a comprehensive tour of Uganda, aiming to gain a deeper understanding of the country’s rich heritage and potential for collaboration.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs looks forward to fostering fruitful collaboration between Uganda and Saudi Arabia, remaining committed to enhancing the bilateral partnership for the mutual benefit of both nations.
