The Government of Uganda has fullfilled the commitment to release PDM funds to the qualifying citizens in Kampala. This was announced by the Minister Kampala, Hajjati Minsa Kabanda, at the ceremony today at Usafi Taxi Park.
The ceremony was filled with ululutations as the the beneficiaries received the funds on their phones in real-time. The vouchers worth one billion Uganda shillings of PDM Funds for Central Division in Kampala City have today been given out to the qualifying beneficiaries. All the five Kampala divisions will in the coming days disburse funds to the beneficiaries.
The KCCA Executive Director, Dorothy Kisaka said that, following the guidelines issued by the National Parish Development Model Secretariat, KCCA completed the due processes for funds disbursements including enterprise creation, SACCO formation, trainings and annual general meetings. Todate, 98 SACCOSÂ have been formed, targeting over 65,000 beneficiaries
