Akaram Gumisiriza isn’t catching a break from the news it seems. The businessman and husband to Dr. Kulthum Nabunya is once against in the gossip pages following last weekend’s clash with one of his tenants that went viral online.
The two picked up a fight over electricity which had been cut off by Umeme.
In the exchange that ensued, the woman accused Akram of hitting on her several times which she turned down. She said this was the reason that he was mistreating her.
Akram in return called out the tenant for being a “prostitute,” to which she returned fire, reminding him of the recent incident in which he brought a sex worker to the house and she ended up getting him arrested for violence.
“You’ve brought that woman here several times; only that the last time you declined to pay her,” charged the tenant, who recorded the exchange with her phone and shared the video online.
In an interview this Monday morning; Akram said he’d decided to throw the woman out of his house for nonpayment of rent.
“She’s been in the house for the last 8 month, and her grace period is running out this week,” he said.
Akram said the tenant had illegally reconnected power to the house which had been cut off by the power distributors.
Akram also revealed that his wife, Kulthum was with him in the car the whole time and that she heard everything.
Regarding the tenant’s claims that he hit on her, Akram said this was a laughable allegation because he would never want to be with a woman who looked like that.
