Former Kenyan President H.E. Uhuru Kenyatta, head of the African Union Election Observation Mission (AUEOM) yesterday witnessed the signing of the 2nd National Peace Accord by Presidential Candidates in the forthcoming Nigeria’s General Election. The event was held at the International Conference Centre in Abuja, Nigeria.
Also present at the ceremony graced by the incumbent President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria H.E. Muhammad Buhari were; former South Africa President H.E Thabo Mbeki, Head of the Commonwealth Electoral Mission to Nigeria, former President of Malawi H.E Dr. Joyce Banda, Head of joint international election observation mission (IEOM) to Nigeria deployed by the International Republican Institute (IRI) and the National Democratic Institute (NDI), Rt. Hon Patricia Scotland, Secretary General of the Commonwealth, the diplomatic corp among other election observers.
