H.E VP Jessica Alupo attends the Openining ceremony of the African continentantal free trade area on women and youth under the theme ‘ Women and youth, the Engine of AFCFTA trade in Africa’ The ceremony was officially opened by H.E Mama Samia Suluhu Hassan, the president of the united republic of Tanzania at Julius Nyerere international convention centre.
It was attended by among others, H.E Sahle Zewde the president of Ethiopia, H.E Jewel Tayler the VP of Liberia, H.E Joyce Banda the former president of Malawi, H.E Ameena Fakim the former president of Mauritius, H.E Wamkele Mene Secretary general of AFCFTA, H.E Monique Nsanzabaganwa the deputy chairperson African Union, Several ministers, UN family and distinguished participants from across Africa.
