Last Weekend, the UNAA Executive had the pleasure to visit the San Francisco Ugandan Community.

They also had a tour of Hilton SanFrancisco  Hotel  where their  upcoming Convention would be held.

We are happy to report that all preparations are moving forward smoothly and the Sanfrancisco Ugandan Community is extremely eager to welcome you in September for UNAA.

We were able to meet and discuss the Convention programs,  taste the Ugandan meal that will be prepared for Sunday Dinner,  and concluded our visit with a community BBQ picnic with a Soccer match.

I would like to thank the Local Chairperson for the Convention Council Representative Ms Hudah Mukiibi, for all the pre Visit preparations in ensuring that the UNAA Executive was well recieved by the Community.

I specifically would like to thank Musumba Joel Kikomeko, Mr Walter Mulondo, Mrs Grace Mulondo, Ms Loy Lwabayi, Mr Ed Kironde, Ms Jackie, Mr Spencer Kiwala, all the Volunteers that BBQed, the DJ, the team players,  Mr Moses Wilson and the lady behind the camera Mrs Sarah Kigoye, all that helped on making this visit a tremendous success.

I would like to also in a special way thank Mrs Joyce Bazalaki who assisted the Hotel Chef in preparations of the Gala meal.

It was overdue for UNAA to make this visit to the Bay Area, and we were impressed by the zeal and  energy of the Youth in this region in all activities they are involved in. We are glad that we are focusing on the Youth this term because indeed our first Generational Ugandan North American Community is steadily growing.

Thank you the Ugandan Community in San Francisco and surrounding Bay Area for hosting us. We look forward to our continuous engagements as we prepare for the Convention in September. Don’t forget to register for the Convention at https://unaaonline.org/convention/

We can’t wait to come back in September,

Sincerely,
Henrietta Nairuba Wamala
