Hosts Cameroon will go into the Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) quarter-finals wary of an ignominious exit as they take on giant killers Gambia in the first of the weekend’s matches.
The two sides have only come face to face twice before, with Cameroon coming on top on both occasions.

In the same round, Egypt will be facing Morocco, in a north-Africa derby. The Pharaohs advanced by beating Ivory Coast while The Atlas Lions overcame Malawi.
The Lions’ game against the Scorpions is going to take place on Saturday at 16:00 GMT while the record-holders will be playing Morocco on Sunday at 16:00 GMT.
Ahead of the quarter-finals, Gambia coach Tom Saintfiet shared his thoughts on the upcoming derby between Egypt and Morocco, exploiting the latter’s weaknesses.
“Ivory Coast played well during the group stage matches, especially against Algeria. They were the favorites to win against The Pharaohs. But Egypt played very well too.” Tom said.
“I think Morocco has a very good team. But they don’t have a striker. Meanwhile, Egypt have better attacking capabilities.
“Morocco are better in terms of organization. But they do not have enough creativity.” Added the coach.
