Liverpool are reportedly considering a move for Villarreal star Arnaut Danjuma in the January transfer window.
The Reds are without key star forwards Mo Salah and Sadio Mane this month due to their participation in the African Cup of Nations.
Jurgen Klopp is said to be eyeing up potential targets to bolster Liverpool’s forward line.
The Athletic have reported that the Reds are now considering a move for the 24-year-old.
Danjuma, only joined Europa League winners Villarreal in the summer after making a £20m move from Championship side Bournemouth.
He has had a successful first year in LaLiga to date, scoring nine goals in 18 appearances for the club.
One potential obstacle for the Reds though is that the player reportedly has a 75 million euro release clause (£62m).
The Dutchman is tied down with the Spanish side until the end of the 2025/26 season.
Liverpool would unlikely pay the full release clause but it’s said that they would push for a deal closer to 50 million euros (£41m).
The Reds had previously been linked with Danjuma before he sealed his move to Villarreal.
