Ugandan Players In Diaspora: Lwanga, Ochaya Bow Out From CAF Champions League As Kasumba, Wadri Score

A weekend of mixed fortunes it was for a number of Ugandan players abroad as they registered different results.

CAF Champions League

Taddeo Lwanga started before going off late in second half as his Simba SC were eliminated from the CAF champions after a 3-1 loss to Botswana Jwaneng Galaxy.

Left Joseph Ochaya also featured as his TP Mazembe side were eliminated on away goals rule after a 1-1 home draw to Amazulu.

Custodian Denis Masinde Onyango was in goal as his Mamelodi Sundowns defeated As Maniema 2-0 to storm the group stages.

Forward Deogracious Ojok started for Tusker FC as they fell 4-0 against Zamalek.

CAF Confederation Cup

Custodian Mathias Kigonya as Azam FC lost 1-0 to Pyramids FC to bow out while right back Nico Wakiro Wadada was an unused substitute.

Umar Kasumba and William Wadri both netted as their Bandari side downed AFC Leopards.

Bevis Mugabi featured fulltime as his Motherwell FC side lost 2-1 to Dundee United.
