Mark Zuckerberg has been an important part of the cultural conversation since he founded Facebook in 2004. Founded as a student at Harvard University, Mark eventually dropped out of college, and pursued Facebook full-time. Over 15 years after launching, Facebook is a multi-billion dollar company, and an innovative way for people to keep connected. Despite all the marvelous things that tech company has done, it’s also led to controversy in terms of privacy and how misinformation spreads on the platform.
Mark started dating another Harvard student Priscilla Chan in 2003. While they did briefly breakup at one point, they’ve remained together through all the ups-and-downs of Facebook’s rise, and the pair tied the knot in 2012. Since getting married, Mark and Priscilla have two adorable daughters, and they co-founded the Chan-Zuckerberg Initiative together.
