Speaker of Parliament, Anita Among this afternoon met with officials from the Ministry of Tourism, led by State Minister Martin Mugara. During the meeting, she named a rhino “Kiira” under the Name a Rhino, Save a Rhino campaign — an initiative dedicated to reintroducing rhinos to Uganda after their near-extinction in the 1980s.

Speaker Among noted that this gesture reflects  Parliament’s commitment to wildlife conservation and the promotion of tourism. She further urged the Ministry of Tourism to step up public sensitization on the importance of protecting wildlife for future generations
