Mozambique to host Uganda Cranes in Egypt
It has been confirmed that the FIFA World Cup Qualifier between Mozambique and Uganda will be played in Cairo, Egypt.
The game will be played at the Cairo International Stadium on Thursday 20th March 2025.
The development follows Mozambique’s inability to have a stadium that meets the required standards to host FIFA matches.
Mozambique previously used Estádio do Zimpeto in Maputo as their home ground in the early stages of the campaign but the stadium was subsequently deemed unfit to host the matches anymore.
The Os Mambas of Mozambique are second placed on the Group G table of the World Cup Qualifiers with nine points from four games played.
Uganda’s Cranes are 5th with six points after winning twice and losing twice in the first four games of the campaign.
After the clash with Mozambique in Cairo, Uganda will host Guinea on Tuesday 25th March at the Mandela National Stadium – Namboole.
