Kanye West ‘could lose $20 million’ following naked Grammys red carpet stunt with wife Bianca Censori

It looks like the controversial stunt pulled by Kanye West and his wife Bianca Censori at the Grammys this weekend could cost the artist a hefty price.

The ‘Gold Digger’ rapper, now known legally as Ye, made headlines over the weekend as his wife of over two years showed up with a controversial outfit choice.

Australian model Censori turned up in a floor-length fur coat, before removing it while facing away from cameras, turning to reveal a see-through mesh outfit with no undergarments.

In a red carpet outfit that isn’t exactly PG, Censori posed next to Ye in front of photographers before leaving the event.

Despite rumours that they weren’t invited to the Grammys at all, it turned out that they left on their own accord and were present at the afterparty.

However, the couple’s naked stunt may have cost Ye more than he would have hoped for, if sources in Tokyo are to be believed.

As reported by the Daily Mail, the 47-year-old could lose up to $20 million (£16.1 million) in a deal that he had to play in Japan.

The ‘Carnival’ artist was slated to perform in two shows at the Tokyo Dome this May, but it is said that Censori’s mesh dress stunt has rubbed people up the wrong way, including his investors in Japan.

Speaking to the news outlet, a source claimed: “Kanye is just f***ing up every opportunity that comes to him. The stunt was creepy beyond belief and has been greeted with horror in Japan.

“Japan is having a cultural awakening about women’s rights and the MeToo movement is really strong here. What he did is being seen as an act of coercive control which is utterly unacceptable. He has completely culturally misjudged Japan,” he explained.

On top of these claims, Ye has been living in a Tokyo hotel for the majority of the past year – it’s fair to say that his stock in Japan could drop significantly.

A lip reader also recently claimed to know what the artist was saying to his wife while she revealed her outfit.

Nicola Hickling said that she saw Ye telling Censori ‘you’re making a scene now’ as they arrived on the red carpet and were snapped by the press.

Apparently, the pair then worked together to reveal her dress, as Ye said: “Make a scene, I’ll say it’ll make so much sense.”

The model nodded back, as the lip reader believed that Kanye told her to ‘drop it behind you and then turn, I got you’, which prompted the dress reveal as she told her husband ‘alright, let’s go.’

LADbible group has reached out to Kanye West’s representatives for comment.

The truth behind whether Kanye West and Bianca Censori were invited to the Grammys has been revealed.

West, now known as Ye, made headlines at the Grammys, not for anything he did or said, but for his wife’s outfit choice.

Australian model Bianca Censori showed up in a fur coat, taking it off to reveal a dress that left almost nothing to the imagination.

Her see-through dress caused commotion on social media, as one joked: “Kanye’s wife’s name is Bianca ‘Censori’ but does anything BUT censor herself.”

It’s fair to say that fans were stunned by the model’s dress choice, or lack thereof.

Instead, the outlet reported the couple arrived at the event, walked the red carpet, then left of their own accord and weren’t escorted out.

Ye posted a statement about her dress on Instagram shortly after, which has since been deleted, which read: “Custom Couture Grammy dress for the most beautiful ever.

“My love, my best friend and my wife.”

Theories have circulated about it either being inspired by the style of a Playboy Bunny in the 2000s, or Censori’s own artwork for Ye’s album, Vultures 1.

However, one other controversial aspect of the couple’s appearance on the Grammys red carpet stole headlines – they weren’t meant to be there.

Well that is, if you believed reports on X.

The couple have reportedly been married since 2022, and while Ye remained fully clothed, it was reported that both were escorted off the Grammys red carpet.

It was reported by Entertainment Weekly that Ye and Censori arrived at the Crypto.com Arena, walked the red carpet, and left on their own accord.

The ‘Flashing Lights’ artist was nominated along with Ty Dolla $Ign, Rich The Kid, and Playboi Carti in the Best Rap Song category for ‘Carnival’.

However, after Censori made her way onto the carpet and removed her fur coat to reveal her see-through dress, the news publication moved to hit back at false information spreading.

An X account claimed: “Kanye West and his wife Bianca Censori have been escorted out of the [Grammys] after showing up uninvited.”

But Entertainment Weekly wrote on their website: “The post was accompanied by an image of West and Censori and a screenshot of what appeared to be a post to the Entertainment Tonight Instagram reporting the news.

“But no such post can be found on the ET website, nor any of its social accounts.”

This isn’t the first time that the couple have come under the microscope for their fashion choices though, as Censori has worn near transparent clothing in the past while Ye, is well, Ye.

Whether it be boxing oversized clothing or shoulder pads, the artist has worn it all.
