Fabrizio Romano: Brighton deal to be accelerated as Derby County ‘agreed’ on £4m move.

Brighton’s bid to sign Eiran Cashin took a major step forward as Derby look set to sign Norway international Sondre Langås.

Albion have been chasing Cashin throughout the January window and saw a £12m bid for the 23-year-old rejected by the Rams.

Brighton intend to return for the centre back and hope to complete before Monday’s transfer deadline.

Derby have already added to their rearguard this week as former Brighton defender Matt Clarke joined on loan from Middlesbrough and the arrival of Langås could further cushion the blow of losing Cashin.
