A U.S. court has indicted 14 North Korean remote IT workers for generating illicit revenue under fraudulent identities, with Washington announcing a $5 million reward for information on their network and the mechanisms financing Pyongyang’s nuclear development.
A federal court in St. Louis, Missouri charged the North Korean workers with crimes including conspiracy to violate U.S. sanctions against the DPRK, money laundering and identity theft, the Justice Department announced in a press release on Thursday.
