Uganda’s Parliament, the reigning champions, is determined to defend its title.
The Chairperson of the Parliamentary Sports Club, Hon. Asuman Basalirwa, expressed confidence in the team’s readiness, “Team Uganda is well prepared to defend their title at the EAC Inter-Parliamentary Games in Mombasa,” he said.

State Minister for Sports, Hon. Peter Ogwang, praised Parliament for its consistent support in promoting sports development across the country.
“Parliament’s overwhelming support for sports development is commendable. No wonder trophies are coming in from various parts of the country,” Ogwang noted.

The Speaker emphasized the importance of participation in sports for fostering teamwork, physical fitness, and unity among legislators in the region.

As Team Uganda heads to Mombasa, the entire country looks forward to another stellar performance that will uphold Uganda’s reputation as champions in the EAC Inter-Parliamentary Games.
