Suspect allegedly linked with Liam Payne makes claims about his time with the singer
So, the Buenos Aires police are investigating three suspects for criminal activity in connection to Liam Payne’s death. A man believed to be one of the suspects has now revealed how he knew Liam Payne and has denied supplying him drugs.
Braian Nahuel Paiz said he took drugs with Liam Payne, but says he didn’t supply Liam Payne with the drugs.
No arrests have been made, and investigators have not identified any suspects by name.
The 25-year-old waiter appeared on the Argentinian news show Telefa Noticias last week. He told the journalist Guillermo Panizza that the police searched his home.
Braian told the journalist Guillermo Panizza, “I never supplied Liam with drugs. Liam’s first contact with me was at my place of work.”
Liam Payne, his girlfriend Kate Cassidy and two other people apparently ate at the restaurant in Buenos Aires where he worked on 2nd October. They exchanged contact details. Braian kept in touch with Liam Payne through a private Instagram account.
Braian said, “I gave him an Instagram and afterwards he sent me messages because he wanted to take drugs although he had already consumed narcotics.
“We swapped details and saw each other later that night. It was all normal. He came down from his hotel room to fetch me because I had got lost. We got together there and he showed me some of the music he was going to bring out.
“While I was in his room we had some whisky shots.
“I’ve heard people saying he was taking drugs, but the truth is that when he got to the restaurant where I was working he was already under the effects of drugs and he didn’t actually eat anything.”
Braian Nahuel Paiz next met up with Liam Payne on 13th October at the CasaSur Palermo Hotel. That’s three days before the singer tragically fell from the balcony.
“We took drugs together, but I never took drugs to him or accepted any money. I have messages where he’s offering me money because he was apparently used to offering money for everything but I never accepted anything.” He claimed he smoked marijuana, while Liam Payne took cocaine.
Braian also said he was confused by the leaked photos which are reportedly of Liam Payne’s hotel room. The three pictures show a smashed TV set, glasses of alcohol, a small toiletries bottle, white powder and a Dove soap box. There is also a photo of a half-burned candle and charred aluminium foil in a bathtub.
The waiter said, “When I saw the photos of the inside of Liam’s hotel room nothing made any sense to me. The Dove soap packet was there when I was in the hotel but I couldn’t understand what it was for or the candles or the glass of water.”
The prosecutor’s office in Argentina released a statement last week. It explained the Buenos Aires police were investigating three different people for criminal activity connected to Liam Payne’s death.
It reads, “Unlawful conduct was discovered, as a result of which three people were charged with the crimes of abandonment of a person followed by death, supply and facilitation of narcotics.”
