Travis Kelce’s bosses send Taylor Swift special gift after NFL star’s best game of the season
Taylor Swift was in attendance on Monday night to watch boyfriend Travis Kelce produce his best performance of the 2024 NFL season so far.
Kelce’s Kansas City Chiefs beat the Tampa Bay Buccaneers 30-24 in an overtime thriller at their home arena, Arrowhead Stadium.
The Chiefs, led by superstar quarterback Patrick Mahomes, are the reining back-to-back Super Bowl champions and are in pursuit of an unprecedented third successive title this season.
Their victory over the Buccaneers extended their unbeaten start to the campaign, with an NFL-best 8-0 record through the first nine weeks of the campaign.
On an individual level, 35-year-old Kelce – who is arguably the greatest tight end in NFL history – had been enduring a sub-par season. But the veteran pass-catcher produced a stellar display on Monday night, logging a career-high 14 receptions for 100 yards.
The Hunt family have grown close with Swift since the pop sensation began dating Kelce. Last year, the pair’s daughter Ava was pictured with Swift in New York. And for Swift’s 34th birthday, the Hunts gifted the singer a Judith Leiber microphone purse worth almost $5,000.
Posting to her instagram account ahead of Monday’s game, Tavia Hunt shared an image of a mysterious gift she was apparently to present to swift that evening.

The picture showed a red box decorated in Chiefs insignia, wrapped in a gold bow and addressed to Swift.
The post sparked speculation online among Swift fans over what the Hunts were giving the platinum-selling songwriter this time.
Ahead of the kick-off, Kelce’s brother, Jason Kelce issued a statement in response to a viral video of him smashing the phone of a fan who’d made disgusting remarks about the Chiefs star and Swift over the weekend.
Speaking during an appearance as an analyst on ESPN’s Monday Night Football, the retired former Philadelphia Eagles centre said: “Everybody has seen what happened,” Kelce said. ‘I’m not happy with anything that took place, not proud of it. A heated moment to greet hate with hate and I don’t think that’s a productive thing, I really don’t. I don’t think it’s the right way to go about things.
“In that moment I fell down to a level I shouldn’t have. The bottom line is I try to live my life by the golden rule, I’ve always been taught to treat people with common decency and I’m going to try and keep doing that moving forward. Even though I fell short this week.”
Kelce, an Ohio native, was on his way to make an appearance on ESPN’s College GameDay show ahead of Penn State vs Ohio State in Pennsylvania.
The retired Philadelphia Eagles centre was walking through a crowd of people when one man called his brother a “f*****” for dating Taylor Swift.
Kelce turned around and grabbed the fan’s phone, slamming it to the ground. He then shouted “Who is the f****t now?” before walking away.
“Everybody has seen what happened,” Kelce said. ‘”‘m not happy with anything that took place, not proud of it. A heated moment to greet hate with hate and I don’t think that’s a productive thing, I really don’t. I don’t think it’s the right way to go about things.

Kelce’s emotional comments on the controversial incident were issued at pitchside at Arrowhead Stadium ahead of Monday night’s game between his brother’s Kansas City Chiefs and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

The Chiefs – who are the reigning back-to-back Super Bowl champions – went on to win 30-24 in an overtime thriller, continuing their perfect start to the season with an eighth successive win.
The victory saw Travis Kelce – one of the greatest tight ends in NFL history – produce his best performance of the 2024 season so far, with 14 receptions for 100 yards.
The seven-time Super Bowl winner is widely regarded as the greatest NFL player of all time after a 22-year career as a quarterback with the New England Patriots and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
In addition to his seven Super Bowl rings, he also won 10 conference championships and was voted the league’s Most Valuable Player three times.
Brady retired in 2022 at the age of 45, having set all-time NFL records for the most wins by a quarterback, the most passing touchdowns in the league’s history and the most passing yards.
At the start of the 2024 season, he transitioned into a new role as a colour commentator for Fox Sports’ coverage of the NFL, working alongside play-by-play commentator Kevin Burkhardt after signing a 10-year, $375m contract with the American broadcast giant.

But Brady hasn’t found life in the commentary booth as easy as playing quarterback in the NFL. The 47-year-old drew criticism in the early weeks of the season for his style of analysis and he has now caused a stir after using an offensive term when describing the play of Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen.
Brady was commentating on the Bills’ game against the Seattle Seahawks on 27 October. In an effort to analyse Allen’s playing style, the retired icon used the word ‘sp*z’, a shortened version of the slur ‘sp*stic’, which derives from the medical term ‘spasticity’ – defined as involuntary muscle tightening caused by damage to the brain or spinal cord injuries/illnesses.
The word has been adopted into slang as a way of describing someone who is clumsy or uncoordinated. The term is considered offensive and derogatory due to its use against people with disabilities.
LADbible Group has approached Tom Brady’s representatives for comment.
On Sunday, the Kansas City Chiefs managed to defend their Super Bowl crown after beating the San Francisco 49ers 25-22 at the Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas, Nevada.
The Chiefs won the contest with seconds remaining on the clock having been behind for most of the match.
The American pop singer made it to the stadium to watch the match despite being on tour in Japan that week.
After the match, they were seen embracing each other in emotional scenes.
Now, footage of the pair’s moment has been released, revealing what Kelce said to Swift.
He said: “Thank you for coming, baby. Oh, I cannot believe that. Thank you, I can’t believe you.
“I can’t believe you. Thank you for the support.”
Kelce continued: “How did you do that? Thank you for coming. Thank you for making it halfway across the world. You’re the best, baby. Oh my God, the absolute best. Was it electric?”
Swift was heard replying: “It was unbelievable.”
Head coach Andy Reid added: “There was no doubting it. The guys were great. The defense played out of their mind, and the offense just kept persevering, pushing and pushing. It was beautiful.”
Speaking about Reid, Kelce said: “I put so much trust in him and how he goes about being a head coach, as a leader — he’s one of the best leaders in the game. I can’t thank him enough for giving me opportunities year in, year out. This third one, this second one back-to-back, this one’s for him, no doubt.”

However, Marshall, who played 13 seasons in the NFL as a wide receiver, says that West purposely bought seats near her in a bid to steal her spotlight.
Speaking on the the I AM ATHLETE podcast, Marshall – who initially confused Swift with Katy Perry – said that the rapper was booted out as a result.
[Kanye] was trying to leverage her celebrity,” Marshall said.
‘[So] Taylor Swift gets p****d off. She boom boom makes a call or two. Everybody’s involved. He gets kicked out the stadium.”
West infamously interrupted Swift at the 2009 VMAS when she was on stage after winning the award Best Female Video, stating that Beyonce should have won.
He then referenced her in the song ‘Famous’, with the lyric, “I feel like me and Taylor might still have sex. Why? I made that b***h famous.”

West, who had a naked depiction of Swift in the music video, claimed had permission off the singer to use the lyric following a phone conversation but she denied that she gave consent.
The 46-year-old was in attendance for the Super Bowl alongside Bianca Censori, wearing an all black outfit which included a mask with a white crucifix on.
It is not known when he left the arena, nor where Marshall got his information from and if it is indeed legitimate.
West paid $7 million for a Super Bowl commercial for a homemade video where he promoted his Yeezy fashion line.
