Trump vs. Harris: Latest polls show this candidate surging ahead of Election Day
STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. — Former President Donald Trump is gaining momentum in various national polls with less than two weeks left before Americans cast their ballots.
In recent months, most national polls have showed Vice President Kamala Harris either in the lead or tied with Trump in the race for the White House.
Here’s a look at how both candidates performed in some of the most recent national polls.
The results represent a significant, six-point shift in recent weeks, with Harris having led last month’s Forbes/HarrisX poll by four points.
“On one side VP Harris is leading the expected early vote by double digits, and winning ballots cast to date by a ratio of almost two to one. On the other side, former President Trump has closed the polling gap nationally to a tie to a slight advantage, showing a swing in polling and momentum to his advantage,” said HarrisX founder and CEO Dritan Nesho.
A Wall Street Journal poll, which includes responses from 1,500 registered voters between Oct. 19 and Oct. 22, shows Trump leading by three percentage points, with 49% supporting Trump, 46% supporting Harris and the remaining respondents either undecided or planning to vote for a third-party candidate.
RASMUSSEN REPORTS
Again, the results indicate a recent surge for Trump after last week’s Rasmussen Reports poll showed the candidates tied at 48% each.
