The Islamic Republic’s authorities have reportedly prepared at least ten scenarios in response to Israel’s potential retaliation for last week’s strikes.
Tasnim News Agency, affiliated with the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), quoted “informed military sources” saying that Iran has prepared at least 10 “operational plans” to respond to a possible Israeli attack.
Without naming its sources, Tasnim reported that Iran’s plans are “capable of being updated.”
“Iran’s response will not necessarily mirror the level of the Israelis’ action, but it may be harsher and target different areas to intensify the impact of the retaliation,” Tasnim cited its sources as saying.
“The sources also noted that the territories occupied by the Zionist regime are much smaller than Iran’s and that Israel has more sensitive and fewer infrastructures, making it vulnerable to Iranian retaliation, which could cause unprecedented challenges for the Israeli regime,” the report added.
These claims come as Israel prepares to respond to the missile attack launched by the IRGC on October 1, with Israeli officials stating that their response will be serious.
