WHAT HAPPENED?
Following years of success in both England and across Europe, Guardiola has issued a token of appreciation for every member of staff who works in the first-team training complex at City. According to a report from The Times, between 60 and 70 people were surprised with the £10,000 bonus from the Manchester City boss including chefs, receptionists, physiotherapists, kit men, baristas and security staff.

During Guardiola’s eight years in Manchester, he has forged a sense of togetherness between the players and staff. As well as the Spaniard’s bonus, the players put together a pool at the end of every season for the team behind the scenes. The head coach has previously expressed that the positive environment across the whole of the club has been a key factor in their continued success.
