(AP Photo/Eranga Jayawardena)Everyone aged 20 and over are eligible to get a booster three months after their second jab. “If you are yet to get your first, second or booster dose, please do come forward for the jab as soon as possible,” Deputy Director General of Health Services Dr. Hemantha Herath said.

He was speaking to the media yesterday. As per the statistics of the Epidemiology Unit, a total of 2,505,477 people have already received the third dose or the booster dose of COVID vaccine in Sri Lanka.

Around 63,560 people were administered with the third dose against COVID-19 on Sunday (19).

Another stock of Pfizer vaccines to be administered as the booster dose arrived yesterday morning.

The stock of vaccines have been stored at the Central Storage Unit of the State Pharmaceuticals Corporation in Colombo.
