The KCCA Kiteezi Emergency Response gains momentum with residents of Kampala lining up to donate goods to the survivors.

The Director Gender and Community services at KCCA, Sheila Birungi, said todate KCCA received cash contributions, clothes  mattresses, jerrycan, and lots of food from market vendors of Owino, St. Balikuddembe market, sweaters  shoes, and many others.  One significant donation was made by Hajjo Bulwadda, who has donated 20 plots of land to the most vulnerable.
The Executive Director, Dorothy Kisaka, told this reporter that she is very grateful to the people of  Kampala for the support of the victims. Different ministries and agencies have joined the rescue efforts.

Kisaka said, “we have received cheques amounting to Ug.Shs. 100M so far. The KCCA Emergency Response desk is at each of the five  KCCA division offices in the city. Both kcca staff and well wishers have continued to make contributions. ‘We are making a record of every distribution, and there is no contribution too small
