According to The Athletic’s David Ornstein, Arsenal are ready to approve Eddie Nketiah’s loan move to Marseille, with an option to purchase for around €30 million.
As The Athletic revealed last month, personal terms on a five-year contract have been agreed upon, and it is now up to Marseille to determine whether or not to proceed.
Nketiah signed a new five-year deal with Arsenal in June 2022, just before he was set to become a free agent. His chances of playing as a key striker under Mikel Arteta have been hampered by the additions of Gabriel Jesus and, more recently, Kai Havertz, who has become the club’s first-choice striker.
