Ukrainian forces successfully struck and destroyed a large Russian military convoy near the village of Oktyabrskoye in the Kursk region, where Russian troops were attempting to halt the advance of Ukrainian forces.
The attack resulted in significant casualties, with dozens of Russian soldiers reportedly killed.
Footage circulating on social media shows the aftermath of the strike, revealing the charred remains of the convoy and soldiers. The video depicts vehicles burnt to the ground, with the bodies of Russian troops visible inside and around the trucks.
According to the monitoring group DeepState, approximately 13 trucks carrying personnel were destroyed in the strike. The group’s reports align with information from Russian sources, which confirmed the attack and suggested that Ukrainian forces used HIMARS systems, a weapon not previously documented in this region during the invasion.
The Russian Telegram channel Voenny Osvedomitel stated, “It is possible that the next step for the Ukrainian Armed Forces will be to break through the border in this area.”
This incident underscores the escalating intensity of the clashes in the Kursk region, with Ukrainian forces continuing to exert pressure on Russian positions.
