Residents of the area appealed for help to contain the fire which was at the time, spreading quickly including to other houses.
By the time of publishing this article, the cause of the fire was yet to be determined.
Similarly, no casualties had been reported at this point.
Fire engines from the Nairobi County Government were also yet to make their way to the scene even as residents resorted to readily available options to put out the fire.
The Kileleshwa Ward Member of County Assembly (MCA), Robert Alai appealed for help from the relevant authorities to help quell the fire.
The residents also appealed to Kenya Power to manage the situation by switching off power in the area to curb the fire from spreading further.
Property worth thousands was destroyed seeing that many of the houses in the area are built in close proximity.
The fire was reported at a time when the County had experienced previous similar incidents within a short period of time.
