  • Former NFL cornerback Bashaud Breeland was arrested for the second time in nine months after he allegedly assaulted multiple police officers while they responded to a drug-related call.

    On Saturday, members of the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department responded to a call, resulting in the attempted arrest of Breeland.

  • Breeland allegedly did not go into handcuffs without issue, assaulting multiple police officers before being booked into jail.

  • The Super Bowl winner in 2020 with the Chiefs now faces assault charges on top of the drug-related charges he would have been booked for without resisting arrest, per the Charlotte Observer.

    Last August, Breeland was also arrested after being found with drugs, guns and a stolen car.
