The Minister of Gender, Labour and Social Development Betty Amongi in YMCA matugga campus to assess the skilling of women entrepreneurs

GROW is a Government  of Uganda project under that is supporting women entrepreneurs with various interventions, one of which is skilling. The Minister toured the various skill sectors, including tailoring, bakery, culinary, saloon and spa, etc. She graduated  those who have completed their courses and handed them equipments to support their businesses.
In her speech, she revealed that the project has been successful because of H.E. The President guidance who advised the ministry to target tangible activities that improve the livelihoods of Ugandan women. She invited them to benefit from other components like that of cheap credit facilities which is at 10% per annum, to enable them expand their businesses.
