As 2023 draws to a close, the Kampala City leadership team has today met to assess the progress of the Kampala city roads rehabilitation project, KCRRP. The meeting was chaired by the Minister for Kampala City and Metropolitan Affairs, Hajjati Minsa Kabanda,
The team received updates on the ongoing works from the Project Coordinator. It was noted that the project affected persons in the key areas of Makindye Division have strongly supported the project by providing the right of way. This project is going to raise the value of the properties, which has given hope to residents of Makindye.
The meeting was attended by Hon. Kyofatogabye, Minister of state, the KCCA Executive Director, Dorothy Kisaka and her deputy, David Luyimbazi, and the KCRRP project coordinator, Jacob Byamukama among others
KCCRP road works commenced in 2021 and will involve construction of over forty roads in the city. The project has also increased the scope of works and will see roads like Kiteezi and Muzito roads reconstructed
