Uganda’s Parliament is to host the National Youth Parliament this week on Friday (10th August,2023) where over 250 youths are anticipated to attend.

The Youth Parliament debate will be hosted in the chambers of Parliament with participants from village youth councils, Civil societies, National Youth Council, NGOs and Uganda National Students Association.
Addressing journalists at Parliament ahead of the day, the National Youth MP Phiona Nyamutoro says the youth Parliament will majorly focus on debates on good governance with intentions of nurturing future and moral future leaders.
Among other topics on the agenda are challenges of climate change, skilling of youth unemployment and others from which an informed petition will be drafted and presented to the speaker of Parliament Anita Among.
