Victor Juma, arrested in Mathare during heated demonstrations over the cost of living, has finally been freed.
Omondi to hold a fundraiser for Juma
A plainclothes police officer arrested Juma as he lectured cops who had allegedly lobbed teargas in the area, hurting his kid.
On July 21, Juma walked away to freedom after the comedian went up and down and finally completed all the requirements for his release.

“Victor Juma is finally free! Been a long day, but he is finally out! We are doing a fundraiser for him and his daughter, who was teargassed and needs medical attention from 8 pm on my Instagram and Facebook Live,” said Omondi.
“His number is 0708578101 you can start sending him cash, see you at 8pm,” he said on his Facebook page.
On July 20, Omondi visited Juma in custody and consoled him about the ordeal. He also brought some food and promised to help secure his release later.
