Dear Ugandans in the Diaspora,
On this special day, I would like to extend my warmest wishes to all of you as you celebrate Uganda’s Independence Day. Although you may be far from your beloved homeland, your hearts remain connected to the rich culture, traditions, and spirit of Uganda.
Independence Day is a time to reflect on the struggles and sacrifices made by our forefathers and to celebrate the freedom and progress that has been achieved over the years. It is a testament to the resilience, determination, and unity of the Ugandan people.
As you gather with your families, friends, and fellow compatriots in different corners of the world, I hope you take a moment to cherish the values that Uganda holds dear—unity, diversity, and the pursuit of a brighter future. May this day be a reminder of the strength and greatness that lies within each one of you.
While the challenges of being away from home may be significant, I encourage you to continue to contribute to the growth and development of Uganda, even from a distance. Your skills, knowledge, and experiences are invaluable assets that can be harnessed for the betterment of our nation.
On this Independence Day, I wish you all a joyful and safe celebration. May your hearts be filled with pride for your Ugandan heritage, and may your spirits be lifted as you connect with fellow Ugandans around the world. Remember to stay connected with your roots, preserve our cultural heritage, and inspire others with your achievements.
Happy Independence Day, dear Ugandans, in the Ugandan North American Association Diaspora!
Sincerely,
Henrietta Nairuba Wamala
