KCCA has launched the valuation court session today in Nakawa Division Urban Council. The ceremony was presided over by the KCCA Executive Director, Dorothy Kisaka and hosted by the Nakawa Division Mayor, His Worship Paul Mugambe.
KCCA valuation court is a statutory body established to handle tax issues arising from KCCA property tax queries and complaints. The court team of three is chaired by counsel Samuel Kayizzi who pledged efficiency and timely delivery of results.
Kisaka urged the valuation court team to exercise equity in executing their role and ensure there is enough public awareness as they resolve the complaints on taxation. She thanked the government for enabling the function of the divisions and emphasised the need for full devolution for better efficiency and effectiveness.
Kisaka urged the Division Councillors and members of the finance committee in attendance to work harmoniously with the technical team to achieve the Smart City Agenda. The event was also attended by the Speaker of Nakawa, Hon Luyombya, and the Town Clerk, Dennis Omodi
