URA FC rubbed more salt into KCCA wounds following a 2-0 win over the Lugogo based side in a game held at the Mehta Stadium in Lugazi on Wednesday.

Second half goals from defender Eric Ssenjoba and substitute Alfred Leku ensured that the Tax Collectors picked a deserved victory on the day.

The win, 8th for URA ensured that they moved to 4th with 33 points after 22 games.

For KCCA, it was rude welcome for interim coach Badru Kaddu and a poor start after the departure of their head coach Morley Byekwaso.

On wednesday, it was yet another good for URA who were playing their third game at Mehta.

And the Tax men, who were dorminant had better chances before the break.

Youngster Sande Andabati was denied on various occasions while Kabon Living, Dada Ibrahim all came close as KCCA dropped more bodies in defence.

For KCCA, Shaban Muhammad’s effort was kept out by an outstanding Nafian Alionzi before Allan Okello sent his effort just wide.

After the break, URA showed an early intent to score first as they made various attempts.

Substitute Joseph Ssemuju’s effort was kept out after a nice delivery from Saidi Kyeyune.

And finally, the endless efforts for URA paid off in the 71st minute through Ssenjobe, who made a sole run after a nice interplay with Ssemuju before making a brilliant finish.

There on, URA never turned back and made more attempts to kill off the game.

Their head coach Sam Timbe made one change introducing in Leku, a move that later paid off.

And in added time, Leku made a solo run, beat off his markers before making a brilliant finish past a helpless KCCA goalkeeper Benjamin Ochan, to put the last nail in the visitors coffin.

Victory ensured that URA moved to the 4th position with now 33 points.
