KYOTERA Uganda:PM Nabbanja Presides over Women’s NRM belated celebrations for Kyotera district.

The celebrations organized by area leaders led by Minister Haruna Kasolo were held at Kyotera grounds in Kyotera town council.
Nabbanja assured residents of government’s commitment to rehabilitate and expand the Masaka Kyotera Mutukula road that is currently in a sorry state.
The Premier reiterated that the rehabilitation project will be funded by an AfDB grant under the NEPAD Infrastructure Project Preparation Facility.
The 96km-road is essential for linking and promoting trade and cooperation between Uganda, Tanzania, and the rest of the East African partners.
Currently, motorists take close to two hours to connect to Mutukula border post from Masaka, a journey that used to take only 45 Minutes.
While in Kyotera Nabbanja commissioned the new district Administration block.
Construction of the Shs1.4b building was funded by the government of Uganda.
The administration block has more than 72 rooms and will serve as a council hall, a boardroom and staff offices.
Kyotera district was curved from Rakai in 2017.
Both functions were graced by the Finance State Minister Incharge Microfinance Hajj Haruna Kasolo, Agriculture state Minister Fred Bwino Kyakulaga,MPs, RDCs and local leaders among others.
