Tommy Fury has failed to show up for a press conference to launch his fight with bitter rival Jake Paul.
Fury is set to face Y ouTube star Paul on February 26 in Saudi Arabia as the pair prepare to settle the scores in the boxing ring at the third time of asking. The ex-Love Island star has held a long-standing feud with Paul, which has seen the pair try to arrange a clash on but on both occasions it has failed to materialise with Fury pulling out.
In his most recent attempt to meet Paul, Fury was forced to abandon plans to touch gloves after being banned from travelling to the US, which continues to spark fear over if he will show up for their showdown. However after declaring he does not intend to break his training camp for a press event, Fury has failed to arrive in the Middle East and has opted to wait until fight week for another face-off.
Paul has been pictured in Saudi Arabia after flying to attend the event, and has hit out at his rival in a furious video outburst on Instagram. He said: “My back hurts so much from carrying the promotion. Where are you at Tommy? We are out here hustling and selling the fight. You unprofessional swine.”
The pair did come face-to-face in London at the fight between Artur Beterbiev and Anthony Yarde to announce the event last month, which saw them dragged apart by security. However after that point, Paul had accused Fury of being scared after gaining knowledge that his rival intended to miss the next press event.
He tweeted: ” Tommy Fury is scared. Told my team he can’t make the kick-off press conference next week in Saudi Arabia because he needs more time to train. “Thought you said you wouldn’t even have to train to fight me? You and your papa [John Fury] are scared.”

Fury then issued a bold response, replying: “The press conference can wait until I get to Saudi Arabia you fool. I’ll be there on the 16th. Three weeks and it’s over you big stiff sweaty goth.” Paul then concluded: “Show a little respect for our hosts you blighter. Saudi Arabia I will see you this coming week inshallah.”
After missing out on his latest face-off with Fury, Paul will once again be left to complete media duties on his own ahead of their showdown. The YouTube star previously held a press conference on his own in the US ahead of their second planned meeting, while Fury waited to discover if he was able to attend the events and fight.
