Dear UNAA Members and Diaspora Community at Large,

It is with much pleasure that I announce the appointment of the 6 of the 7 required UNAA Board of Trustees as stipulated in the UNAA Constitution Article 5.5.

Ms. Josephine Mugaga Matovu has been appointed to serve on the Board of Trustees for UNAA and also elected by her peers to serve as the Secretary to the Board of Trustees .

Josephine Matovu RN, BSN. is a Compassionate and experienced Registered Nurse with over 23 years of healthcare experience in interdisciplinary care who also has several experiences in Community service.

Josephine has served the Ugandan Community in Illinois at several levels including;
• Board Member of the Aids Task Force for Cook County Chicago 2014 – To date
• Board Member of the Chicago Archdiocese Immigration Team   2019- To date
• Board Member of the Sable Ridge Association 2012 – To date
• Secretary of the Ugandan Community in Greater Chicago 2021 – To date
• Council Representative for the Greater Lakes Region 2019-2021

She is a mother with a passion to share and help those in need and currently resides in Chicago, Illinois.
