Here is  the upcoming Annual Africa ESG, Impact Investing & Sustainable Finance Summit-East Africa Forum which will be hosted on the 27-28 Feb 2023 in Nairobi | Kenya. The East Africa forum is part of our continental series of ESG summits hosted in Southern, East and Central, West and North Africa annually over the last decade. The forums offer exclusive and premium opportunities to relevant industry stakeholders to speak, partner, present, sponsor, collaborate, engage and exhibit within a custom-curated setting with local, continental and global industry players, captive audiences and unparalleled multi-media exposure.

Summit Overview

Climate change poses an existential threat to the planet as we know it and its impact cuts across all sectors and facets of humanity. The Annual Africa ESG, Impact Investing & Sustainable Finance Summit-Forums were launched in South Africa in 2015 in cognisance of these risks especially on the African continent. The Africa forums have been hosted under different banners in several South African and African cities annually bringing together local, continental and global thought leaders, experts, policy makers, institutional investors, researchers, impact investors, financial institutions, philanthropists, DFI’s, governments and the private sector to address the promotion and incorporation of ESG considerations into investment decisions, mobilise and promote the deployment of capital into Impact Investing in the continent, champion sustainable finance initiatives, and create awareness on impacts of climate change with the objective to lead the way towards promoting climate adaptation and mitigation.

The continental summit with regional forums under the new banner is in its 4th year and in 2022; we successfully hosted the 3rd Southern Africa edition in May at the Mdluli Safari lodge, Kruger National Park, South Africa bringing together over 40 international speakers, delegates from over 20 countries and 4 continents on a fully hybrid (physical and virtual setting. The summit which is part of our Africa series brings together key stakeholders in the ESG, Impact Investing, Sustainability, Green Finance and Climate change. The 2023 forums, coming in the backdrop of COP27, will address critical and necessary interventions that Governments, investors, financial intermediaries, asset owners, development and donor agencies, asset managers, regulators and policy makers, and the private sector in general will need to deploy towards achieving the UN sustainable development goals as well as to mitigate against climate related risks

The summit will also explore the role of Institutional Investors, Financial services providers, Foundations, and charities plus NPOs, regulators, asset owners and managers in impact investing across the African continent and will examine critical approaches and strategies towards climate action and social impact.
